 Dr. White served as an English teacher, Advance Placement Literature instructor and academic advisor to minority students in the Cedar Rapids Community School District for over 30 years. Currently Dr. White is the Executive Director for The Academy for Scholastic and Personal Success—a college preparatory program for students of color—and serves as an educational diversity and cultural competency consultant for Transwebglobal. Dr. White holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Iowa and has taught at both the high school and college level.

Professor Dan Sheffield is an adjunct lecturer at Tyndale University College & Seminary in Toronto, Canada. He is a sought-after educator and coach in the area of intercultural studies and cross-cultural communications. Professor Sheffield has lived and taught in Egypt and South Africa, with extensive consulting experience in South Asia. As a father with two college-age adult children, he also understands the concerns of parents regarding education and international living.


Achyuth Chandra

Achyuth is a former IB student who is now pursuing an honour major in Cognitive Science with a minor in Political Science at the University of McGill and planning on beginning a Master’s degree in counseling psychology in the fall of 2015. He is actively involved in the McGill Debate Team, several creative writing organizations in McGill (including VP of the Paper’s Edge), and plays tennis and boxes on his down time.

Beyond his academics, he works with professors, and in an engaged student. Aswani Dravid

Aswani is currently doing her Ph.D in Maritime Security with the University of Kerala. She has experience as a freelance journalist in the media for four years. Her research background and focus on community collaboration has led her to a number of volunteer opportunities and community leadership roles. Trained in academics and journalism, she constantly probes into the causes and effects of events that we face as a society, through her writing.

Radhika Ratnam

Radhika Retnam

Radhika Retnam is currently pursuing Post-graduation in Journalism at the Press club Institute in Trivandrum. She is an active volunteer at MAD ( Make a Difference), an NGO that takes care of the education and overall growth of kids at Shelter homes. She is an occasional creative writer and has published poems in ‘Kavya Bharathi’ (a journal published by The American College, Madras). She has also won the challenge memorial award for poetry in 2012. She is planning to conduct an exhibition of her abstract paintings later this year. She is also a researcher for a project on media studies conducted  in collaboration with ICSSR and JNU.
